Soon to be in France

As we have decided not to go to Morocco, Scottie and I plan another little 'slice of paradise' in the south of the Var France. Beautiful countryside, near to the beach, great wines, wonderful cheeses and of course delicious healthy food. A laid back eco friendly life, 100% chill factor for anyone who comes to stay. No idea when exactly we will make the move from India, however this is the first post to get us started and a younger picture of us to keep us imagining we are fit enough for the move.

Initially we will stay in La Migoua, near Le Beausset in the 'Domaine Tempier'
The 'house on the hill' which once belonged to my dear and much missed friend Dee (Wells) I first knew her when she was the wife of second husband A.J Ayer the English philosopher. Lady Ayer my darling Dee, was the most amusing often misunderstood, talented and generous friend. Her two delightful, also fabulously talented children Nick Ayer and Gully Wells have very kindly lent La Migoua to Scottie and I for a little while. Nick writes poetry and holds poetry reading, his lovely girlfriend Stephanie is a keep fit and exercise adviser. Gully the features editor of Conde Nast Traveler has written a 'must read' book about the house, her mother, father, stepfather and the people in her life. "The House In France" (A Memoir) is impossible to put down.
When in France I hope to find the perfect place for the plan explained in 'About Me' on the right
The Aim:- Good Conversation, Yoga, Meditation, Tai Chi, Seminars, Cooking, Gardening, Walks, Healthy Food and Sweet Animals

As a yoga master I attempt to teach yoga in the traditional way. Yoga is a holistic system which was evolved by the sages of ancient India. It is not just the practice of postures they are just one aspect of yoga which unite the dualities in human nature. It is non-competitive, the postures must be taught slowly in a non-judgemental gentle way, improvement happen it is not extracted. The ultimate aim of yoga is self-knowledge, therefore an open attitude is necessary, a moderate and balanced approach is the ideal one. .
Yoga is universal; anyone can practice yoga irrespective their religion, race, geographical location or social status. The correct and regular practice of yoga leads to better health, psychological and physiological harmony and inner peace - Praveendas yoga master
In anticipation of Praveendas coming to give yoga and meditation classes to all our guests Scottie is practicing her yoga stretch

In preparation for my vegetable and herb garden (did you know you can grow papayas indoors if its cold in Europe) my 'trial garlic' is growing well supervised by Scottie sitting in a basket nearby

Zebe (my goat) is looking after a lovely blind man in India so cannot come with us, but we will have another French goat for milk and cheese, guests can help with milking.

                                            Duck eggs galore of course

AND a Polish chicken or two (or three or four or maybe more)
Yes these really are Polish chickens, they lay great eggs,    you can help collect them when you come to stay

STOP PRESS
As I reach a ripe old age this month of May I know I must start going into reverse. Not enough will come from the hotel Sale proceeds for a face lift or gymnasiums.  Therefore in a desperate attempt to get the bod' and face to an even halfway acceptable level I have devised my own version of the ZUMBA, the dance exercises which are all the rage
Just For Us:- called 'Dance Little Old Ladies' the routine and music choices I have put together are ready, I will make the video just as soon as I have finalised the Sale of Lagoona Davina. If you want to join me in a bit of fun trying to reverse gravity and the inevitable aging process take a look at my blog in July, I will tell you where you can see a clip and get the video

A stitch In Time
Have started packing, what a lot of 'stuff' we accumulate in our lives. True I have been here 15 years but no excuse, I must slim down my belongings as well as my 'bod'
Procedure to take Scottie into France is on the way thanks to invaluable help from dear friends as it is not easy to take animals from India Sooo it looks as if we will be in France by the end of August the latest.
Please get in touch on this blog or by email if you have any ideas of what facilities you would like to have when you come to stay in my new guest house. Ideas on all things eco friendly and self sustaining particularly welcome, there are lots of great carbon foot print savers out there I would love to hear from you.
We could think of ourselves as 'one stitch in the New World or Bayeux Tapestry' each stitch completes the picture. There are 39 million stitches in the New World Tapestry the world has a population of 8 billion, if only half of us were a 'stitch' doing our bit for the ecology What A Tapestry We Would Make

    1. Alice great to hear from you I will be in India until the end of August as I finalise the sale of my business here and pay taxes which all takes a long time.
My yoga master is having a problem getting a Visa s he is India it is difficult If you know of anyone who lives in France who can sponsor him that would be great
He will of course cover any deposit or expenses that have to be paid Also he is only planning to be there for month long seminars (possibly 3 a year) not impermanently which is what concerns the authorities. I do have another yoga teacher who will also come for seminars therefore there will be year around yoga classes. Please keep in touch anyway Best regards Davina
